A motor fuel mixture with about 90 percent unleaded gasoline and 10 percent ethyl alcohol. Alcohol that has been produced by fermentation of sugar cane by the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

It is produced on a large scale in Brazil, where it is manufactured in large distilleries and provides an alternative source of energy for motor vehicles.

It is an example of a biofuel.
